Karen Witt

Karen Witt Karen has been sewing all of her life and has been actively quilting for over twenty-five years. She has taught quilting classes for individual guilds and quilt shops across the country and in France for Quiltmania. Her quilts have been exhibited and have received numerous awards at national shows, including Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, American Quilter's Society (AQS) and National Quilting Association NQA). In addition, she has received recognition in several design competitions. For the past several years, she has chosen to specialize in the history of quilting, the use of reproduction fabrics and the creation of quilts with historic significance. She currently dates and appraises quilts, lectures, teaches and designs reproduction patterns. Her original designs and quilts are frequently featured as Free Projects on the Windham/Baum website and in The Quilter, Quiltmania, Fabric Trends, Easy Quilts (a Fon's and Porter publication) and Love of Quilting. Look for her teaching at your local guild or quilt shop soon -- and be sure to call her when planning your programs and retreats!

Erin Witt

Erin Witt Erin Witt joined Reproduction Quilts in the spring of 2006. She is finishing a Master of Science degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles from the University of Kentucky and has an undergraduate degree in Textiles and Merchandising from Eastern Kentucky University. She has a special interest in vintage clothing and has volunteered at the Kentucky History Museum, worked in costume research and helped to catalogue the historic textile collection at the University of Kentucky. She has been an avid seamstress since childhood and especially enjoys detailed hand needlework and knitting. Although Erin predominantly works managing the production, marketing, and accounting side of Reproduction Quilts, she does also enjoy working with Karen in selecting new fabric lines and delights in working the booth at quilting conventions. She is responsible for the design and visual merchandising of the product line at exhibits and conventions. In addition, Erin started her own quilt design company in 2008, specializing in "on trend" fabric collections. Her designs can be seen as Free Projects on the Windham/Baum textiles website and in The Quilter, Love of Quilting, Quilts & More (an American Patchwork and Quilting publication).
